A Little Bit About Me
My Journey
Believe it or not, I haven't always been into fitness and eating good, nutritious food. I really didn't enjoy participating in different sports at school and couldn't understand why cookies couldn't be apart of every mealtime! However, at the age of 17, I was introduced to the gym where I finally started to appreciate the need for physical activity and the benefits of wholesome foods.

After graduating with a BSc in Psychology from The University of Leicester, I undertook a PGCE at The University of Nottingham where I eventually qualified as a primary school teacher. As a teacher, I was lucky enough to not only teach five years within the UK, but also five years in Dubai. Although this was something I had always dreamed of becoming since the age of 5, I was still consumed with my desire to become part of the fitness and nutrition industry. Therefore, during my final year in Dubai, I finally decided to follow my dreams and apply back to university to qualify as an Associate Nutritionist. It was also just after moving back to the UK that I qualified as a personal trainer (something I had wanted to do for years!).

So here I am: a qualified Personal Trainer and Associate Nutritionist, here in sunny Sheffield! Whilst chocolate is still my all time favourite food (yes I am a major chocoholic!) I now consume this as part of a healthy lifestyle. I have always loved exercise, training and eating lots of delicious food. Now I get the chance to change lives for a living, which is not only a privilege but incredibly fulfilling and rewarding.

My philiosophy

Fitness, food and fun...my three favourite words! Getting in shape is not meant to be a torturous endeavour and food should not be restricted to certain types of meals, calories or macros.
So what do I believe? As a fully qualified and accredited Personal Trainer and Associate Nutritionist, I firmly believe in the positive benefits fitness and a balanced, nutritious diet brings to all areas of our lives. Keeping exercise and food fun and creative means it becomes part of everyday life

I want my clients to know that it’s about them and their needs. I want them to feel seen, heard and respected. I believe in evidence-based exercise and nutrition programs that have a strong standing in the industry. I utilise behaviour-change approaches with all clients to ensure self-efficacy and long-term success. I value my education and continued learning. It’s important that I have knowledge and experience with new equipment or techniques before engaging in them with a client.
